The Directorate Maintenance in Department of Works which has been decentralised to //Kharas Regional Council is responsible for the Planning, Provision, Management and Maintenance of Government Buildings and related Infrastructure. The Directorate renders service in fulfilment of the requirements of other Line Ministries when it comes to provision of the above. The Division Fixed Asset Management is responsible for a variety of functions. Main among them are the provision of office accommodation, management of Government Housing, immovable asset, disposal procurement, payment of rates and taxes, municipality accounts, and management of lease agreement.
